Decorating your new vacation rental is one of the best parts, but it can feel overwhelming with so many choices! For short-term rentals, choose Airbnb furniture that looks good and is practical, durable, and easy to clean. Today, I want to share some of my favorite Airbnb coffee tables at Wayfair, along with some tips for choosing the best coffee table for your Airbnb!

Choosing Your Airbnb Coffee Tables
There are four main things to consider before buying a coffee table for your rental property. I want to cover those first because, as a seasoned Airbnb host, I think they matter quite a bit.
Then I will share my favorite Airbnb coffee tables that check those boxes. In most cases, you will have one coffee table in your rental. However, if you have a basement, loft area, extra-large bedroom, or bonus room, you may need to buy more than one.
So, consider these 4 things before buying a coffee table for your rental property!
1. Will You Have a Sleeper Sofa?
This is the first thing to figure out before buying your Airbnb coffee tables! Why? If your rental has a sleeper sofa, people will have to move the coffee table to use the sofa bed.
A sleeper sofa means you need to consider the weight and make sure it’s easy to move. However, you also need to ask yourself where guests are most likely to place it. If it’s a big round coffee table, you may not have a good place for it, and you may be better off with two nesting coffee tables for your Airbnb living room. Does that make sense?
You may even want to consider a rollaway bed over a sleeper sofa in your Airbnb!
Because if they don’t have a good place to move it to, your Airbnb guests will most likely start moving around all of your furniture. I hate walking into my Airbnbs only to see that my guests and cleaners have somehow redesigned them while I was away.

2. How Heavy Should Your Airbnb Coffee Table Be?
If people are going to move your coffee table, it needs to be light enough to pick up. Otherwise, expect damage to the floors and rugs beneath it.
So, let’s dig into the best weight. Unfortunately, even if you don’t have a sleeper sofa, people move this piece of furniture the most. Maybe they want an area for little ones to crawl around. Maybe they snuck in an air mattress. Who knows!?!
It may be tempting to get a super heavy one to prevent guests from moving it around, but they may just damage the floor. So, if you have a sleeper sofa or plan on guests moving your coffee table, I would make sure it’s under 30 lbs. I will include my Wayfair coffee table recommendations below!
In most other situations, you can buy nice, sturdy, and durable Airbnb coffee tables without worrying about their weight. Wayfair does list the weight on most product listings.
3. Durable Airbnb Coffee Tables
So what do I mean by “durable”?
Not that you want this to happen, but it should withstand a kid sitting on it because you know they will. Also, if you don’t have proper luggage racks or are using a sleeper sofa in the living space, your Airbnb guests will put their suitcases on your coffee table. So, make sure it’s sturdy and tighten it every so often.
You also want to make sure your Airbnb coffee table surface is durable. This means choosing materials that are easy to clean. I actually prefer fake marble to marble because people are careless with it.
I once came to one of my Airbnbs and found Sharpie drawings all over it. We ended up getting the Sharpie stains off the coffee table with toothpaste! Who would have thought?
Also, avoid materials prone to coffee and water rings, since half your rental guests probably won’t use your coasters.

4. Budget-Friendly Coffee Tables for Rentals
With that in mind, you should be able to find great Airbnb coffee tables in the $100-$300 range. I don’t recommend focusing on high-end furniture brands. Start with Wayfair, since they have thousands of Airbnb coffee tables to suit your needs.
Also, I don’t recommend coffee tables with too many extra hinges or pop-ups for storage. They are fun at home but an unnecessary pain point at your rental. They can easily break, or even worse, your guests or their children can pinch their fingers in them!

Here are some of my favorite regular coffee tables for your Airbnb. These include round and rectangular tables in varying sizes. These aren’t overly heavy, but I don’t consider weight as much as I do in the next section. So, just decide what looks best in your space!

Lightweight Airbnb Coffee Tables
Here are lightweight coffee tables for your Airbnb!
Choose one of these if you have a sleeper sofa or anticipate guests moving your coffee table often. All are under 30 pounds. When choosing a shape, consider where people will move it when they need to use the sofa bed. So, make sure it can be tucked into a nearby corner or against a wall in the same room.
