Believe it or not, buying furniture for a new vacation rental is actually one of my favorite parts. To be honest, I don’t really like interior design, but I do like maximizing space and finding durable and easy-to-clean furniture pieces for my rentals. So, today, I want to share some of my favorite Airbnb dining tables and chairs at Wayfair, along with some things to consider when choosing dining tables for your Airbnb!
Choosing Airbnb Dining Tables & Chairs
There are a few things you should keep in mind when choosing the best dining room table for your rental property! I will start there and then share some of my favorites that check those boxes. And not all rentals are the same! So, I will be including Airbnb dining tables for all sorts of spaces and different price points.
Here are four things to consider when shopping for an Airbnb dining table and chairs! Also, you will notice that I am focusing on regular-height tables. I am not a big fan of the taller bar height tables, especially if you will be hosting kids at your rental.
#1 How Many People Does Your Rental Sleep?
This is very important! If your rental sleeps 8, your dining room table should sit 8. Now, there are some exceptions when you have a larger home. For example, in many rentals that sleep 15, there is a dining room table that seats 12, but then 3 barstools as well. Basically, you should have a seat for everyone to eat at. However, if you are in a warm weather destination with a very large home. In that case, I think it’s okay to include any outdoor dining tables as part of the seating total.
At the same time, it’s silly to have a large dining table that seats eight when your one-bedroom condo only sleeps two! Some extra space is, of course, always appreciated, especially if the table doubles as a workspace. However, don’t sacrifice too much floor space for an unnecessarily oversized dining room table.
#2 Do You Have A Dedicated Dining Room?
Secondly, you need to examine your space. Do you have a dedicated dining room that you want to fill like in your regular home? In that case, a larger-than-required table may be a better choice. Oftentimes, if you have a kitchen table and a dining room table, you can easily accommodate as many guests as your 4+ bedroom home sleeps!
On the other hand, if you don’t have a dedicated dining room at your Airbnb, ask yourself how your space could be best utilized. You want to make sure everyone can easily get in and out, so sometimes it’s better to choose a round table over a rectangular table. Also, if tight on space, you may even walk to consider a bench or banquette on one side!
As you can see in this studio condo of mine, we had very little space to create a dining area. I found this narrow table that almost feels like a mini farmhouse table. I paired it with inexpensive low-profile chairs to make a small dining area in a 340 sq ft studio with three beds!
#3 Are You Choosing A Durable, Easy To Clean Table & Chairs?
I have said it before and will say it again: Most Airbnb guests will not take good care of your place. People tend to lose their common sense while on vacation. So, make sure that you purchase durable and easy-to-clean Airbnb dining tables and chairs.
For the table, make sure the surface is heat-resistant and not prone to scratches. I also like to avoid excess ridges and gaps where crumbs can build up.
For your Airbnb chairs, I highly recommend that you avoid upholstered chairs, which will eliminate many of the dining sets. I like wooden chairs, but you can also choose an easy-to-clean leather-like material if you want some added texture. The best dining chairs for Airbnb rentals are the ones that are easiest to keep clean!
#4 What Is Your Budget?
Lucky for us Airbnb hosts, companies like Wayfair have a huge selection of quality Airbnb dining tables and chairs perfect for all budgets and style preferances. Additionally, I like that you can read through many, many reviews to ensure that you are getting the most bang for your buck.
With the exception of ultra-high-end properties, don’t overspend on your Airbnb furniture. Buy something that looks nice and substantial (not cheap), but don’t worry about fancy brands. You do not need a $3500 Crate & Barrel dining set in your short term rental. Trust me!
The Best Airbnb Dining Tables At Wayfair
While buying an Airbnb dining room set is undoubtedly easier, many come with upholstered chairs. So, don’t be afraid to purchase your Airbnb dining tables and chairs separately for your rental’s dining space.
Also, some of the photos in this post are from my rentals, like the one above. You may notice that it’s set. For the most part all of my Airbnb listing photos are exactly how our place will look when a guest walks in. However, I do always take a picture of the table set as well. It helps them get a better feel for the size!

Standard Airbnb Dining Tables
In the following photo, I have some great basic dining room tables that seat from four to eight people. As you can see, I am drawn to the basic ones with just four legs. I find it easier to clean those over the very intricate tables. When you are looking at the table listings on Wayfair, make sure to read through them really well. Many tables come with an additional leaf that helps increase seating by two to four more.

Easy To Clean Airbnb Dining Chairs
As long as all of the chairs match, you usually have some extra liberty to coordinate chairs with your tables. Don’t be afraid to contrast a black chair with a brown table. I will say that you may want to buy one extra chair. I think chairs are one piece of Airbnb furniture that has the potential to get broken. And one of my friends has one that just went missing from her rental! I assume they broke it and just didn’t tell her. But that just blows my mind!
Also, pay attention to the matching table that wayfair recommends with these and other chairs. Sometimes that is an easy way to find coordinating pieces of dining room furniture for rentals.

Small Space Dining Tables
If you have a studio condo like me, you may just need a minimal dining surface for two people. Here are some small and flexible-shaped dining tables for smaller spaces that you might like! I particularly love the two at the bottom!

Extra Large Dining Tables
If you have to seat more than ten, you may end up having to get two tables. In most situations, it would involve having a large dining table plus a kitchen table and maybe even bar stools, too! Here some some larger farmhouse-style tables that I think would be nice in a short-term rental property!

Airbnb Dining Tables For Unique Spaces
Here is one last set of potential Airbnb dining tables! These are geared more toward unique spaces, typically in small condos. There are a couple of corner banquette-style options and a couple of counter height type sets that can be put near a wall or behind a sofa (facing the TV) in a rental that may not have space for a true dining area. Plus, I included a couple of small tables that are good for a small corner of a living space. These are great places for people to work from as well.
