So, the one thing that this house doesn’t lack is bathrooms. ย It has a large master and then three additional full baths. ย They are all almost identical. ย One is upstairs for the kids. ย One is in the basement off of the main guestroom. ย The other is seriously right off of my kitchen. ย Having a tub right there first felt a little wierd to me before we moved in. ย I mean a half bath would have been a-ok in my book. ย I know it was placed there there as our Play Room (on main level) ย is intended to be an additional bedroom and it was for the convenience of overnight guests.

But, now that we are in the house I think I am in love with it. ย It’s right a across from our mudroom and seriously convenient. ย I have already washed dirty feet in there a few times and kept all of the mess on the tile. ย No need to trape around to the upstairs tubs. ย And I gave the filthy monsters a bath while I made dinner last night too!

So, I have embraced the random tub. ย But now comes time to decorate it so that it is somewhere cheerful for me, appealing for any and all day to day visitors but still youthful for the kids.

I based my vision on these wooden hook vase things that I found at Homegoods. ย My friend Alinda suggested the Serena and Lily tassle shower curtain and I went from there by also adding one of their rugs and some towels! ย I plan on actually using the PBTeen Katie Daisy piece above the toilet as it is a nice 24″ by 24″ and placing the wooden floral hook things on the wall across the bathroom to use for keys and fresh flowers. ย I found that cute candle at Homegoods as well! ย I hope that it all turns out cute and can’t wait to share an ‘after’ picture!
