So, if you have been following my blogs for any length of time you know that we are huge carnival junkies! It is our favorite time of the year. You can read more about my love for them and also why I love to support them in last year’s Any Fair, Anywhere post.
Last weekend our small community of Glen Carbon, Illinois gathered together for the annual homecoming. This one was extra special for the kids! They ran into so many friends and Abby even saw her 2nd grade reading buddy. Mommy heard some fabulous music and and the kids even won goldfish. BOTH OF THEM. Seriously, Matt gave me the eye before giving them the money for the game. I nodded to go ahead… I mean how often do you really win that game anyway? Well, Abby won. Of course little brother wanted in on the action. This had me worried because there is no way they would go 2 for 2 and he was going to be left out. But, he WON! Both kids got a goldfish. We are the proud adoptive parents of Monster Poopypants and Love Heart Lili (formerly known as Rockstar).
