Well, Matt recently got Abby hooked and the kids love it. She is so memorized by it and talks about it all day long. But, I was still shocked when a few weeks ago at breakfast she said that she wasn’t going to be Elsa anymore (seriously, as I have amassed like 6 Elsa dresses). Heck yea girl! I have been dying to put something fun together and any excuse at all to buy the Dollcake Beneath the Veil Frock. So, I wiped out my Paypal and the dress was ours. Next was the search for a headpiece. Friends suggested ASOS and we found a great beaded head crown for her! It’s ladies but very adjustable.
UPDATE (Sept 2019): This dress is sold out everywhere but here are some great inexpensive alternatives on Amazon! And here is a link to a headpiece that would be perfect.
Last Saturday morning I did her makeup and got her all dressed up and then kept wondering. Will people know who she is? The is so proud. I would hate for them to not ‘get it’. So, with the car running. I grabbed an uncovered copy of Uncharted TerriTORI. Hit google for a printable book cover. I threw a full sheet label in the printer and stuck it on the book. It was the perfect finishing touch. She didn’t place in the costume contest but we figure it’s the judges’ loss. They have probably never been so lucky enough to see the movie!
I had a question about the dress. I just purchased this dress min. ago for a baptismal dress! I am freaking out a little because I read where you got your dress and that it was the same one but this looks totally different from Dollcake Fall 2014 Beneath the Veil Frock. The Dollcake looks almost all white with a little bit of cream and maybe, maybe a touch of sheer blush. Please tell me this is not the same dress!
I am not sure which dress that you bought but this is the Beneath the Veil Frock. I bought it from Cassie’s Closet. Those stock pictures on her site are the same dress that I have. I just looked through my pictures again and the stock pictures and I am not sure why you think it is different. It’s a cream/white dress so the color in photos will vary greatly depending on the lighting – more importantly if it is natural of artificial light and how intense the sunshine is versus shade. The pictures of her sitting down inside and also holding the book standing up are both out of bright and very accurate.
