I think that as adults, it is very important to take note of the things that make us really happy. The things that aren’t dependent on another person. Those day-to-day activities or moments that make us smile and that lift the weight off of our shoulders for a little bit. The ones that inspire us somehow.
One that I have really gotten into lately is (A) playing records on my new record player and (B) scouring thrift stores for old forgotten albums from artists that I love!
After Christmas, I bought myself a Victrola 6 in 1 Record Player. Here is a link to the Amazon listing.
The reviews are good, and the price is fantastic if you were looking for a record player! My favorite thing about it is that it also plays CDs and cassette tapes (if you have those lying around), has a radio, mp3 plugin, and Bluetooth to stream from your phone! Seriously, covering all of my needs and then some.
I seriously love hunting down the records, and every single one has played great despite being 40 or 50 years old, which amazes me. Last Saturday, we were at a big antique shop, and they had a ton of records for only $1-$3. I had to stop myself from even looking through them all because I am not ready to finish my collection yet. I grabbed the first five that I knew I loved and can’t wait to go back again to get a few more.
Here is a little clip of a few moments from the past week or so… sorry for the quality. Eeeek…. they are saved from my Instagram Stories. I am pretty active on there. You can follow me on Instagram at @ourlittlelifestyleblog.
Have a great day! Find your happy place! (and go there as often as you can)
