Setting Up Your Bissell Little Green
This portable upholstery cleaner arrives almost ready to use! All that you need to do is snap in a front host clip and snap/screw in the back hose holder. I did it in under a minute and was ready to go.
The Bissell Little Green requires a cleaning solution. It comes with a small 8-ounce bottle of the Bissell Spot and Stain Cleaner with Febreeze. You can pick up more at Walmart, Target, or Amazon. Â
Using The Little Green Upholstery Cleaner
When you are ready to use the Bissell Little Green, you will use the clean water tank with a small amount of cleaner (to a marked line). Then, you fill it to the second line with warm water. That’s it!
To operate the Bissell Little Green, you simply press the on button and use the hand tool. This one comes with the 3″ tool, and you can also purchase additional tools. The hand tool has a trigger that allows you to spray the solution directly onto the fabric, scrub, and suction up the dirt. I like that you can use it on a single isolated spot as needed or clean an entire sofa.
Yesterday, I did a spot on our white sectional, Abby’s headboard, and our entire main living room sectional. I am amazed at how dirty the water is!
In the photo below, you see the dirty water tank after cleaning Abby’s headboard. I was shocked! It’s a lot of dust and allergens built up over several years.
Once done, you simply remove the dirty water tank, dump it, and rinse it. The Bissell Little Green is easy to store with the power cord and host locked into place.Â

Yes! After cleaning our main sectional, I didn’t take a photo of the dirty water, but it was so dark and cringy.
