Abby and I just returned home from a fun girl’s trip to visit family! First, we spent a few nights in Chicago, Illinois, with my brother’s family. Then, we jetted off to Dallas, Texas, to spend some time with my sister and her family. And, that included a trip to Heirloom Haul and Flea Style in Frisco, Texas.
Reconnecting with family is just what we need! We hope we never have to go this long without seeing them again.
Visiting The Dallas, Texas Area
Whenever we visit Dallas, my sister and brother-in-law take us to the best restaurants!
Up until now, they lived very close to downtown, and we have eaten our way through Dallas on several occasions, but they recently built a house in Windsong Ranch (Prosper, Texas) north of Dallas. On this trip, we got to try a whole new batch of places in the Frisco, Texas, and Plano, Texas area!
Today, I want to share Abby’s favorite outing – a visit to Heirloom Haul and Flea Style!
Heirloom Haul and Flea Style in Frisco, Texas
My sister knows the way to a tween girl’s heart and into my *almost* 40-year-old heart, too!
Last week, we visited Heirloom Haul for lunch and loved browsing Flea Style as well. Heirloom Haul and Flea Style are located at The Star in Frisco, Texas, which is where the Dallas Cowboys have their practice field.
For that reason, this would seriously make a great family-friendly stop while in the Dallas area. It is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and maybe even watch football practice!
Heirloom Haul and Flea Style at The Star
When we arrived at Heirloom Haul and Flea Style, I knew I was going to love it.
From the chic umbrellas lining the patio to the eclectic vintage clothing and fun accessories, there is so much to admire! At both the Flea Style location in Deep Elum and the Flea Style storefront in Frisco, Texas, you can expect to see a variety of handmade and one-of-a-kind items from local makers and creatives.
One of the highlights is The Bar, and I am not talking about the rose, although they have that too! The Bar is actually a hat bar!
The Hat Bar at Flea Style
We didn’t have a chance to make our own hat, but I wish I would have done it! Updating this post today, I want to share that I finally did have a chance to make a hat on a future visit, and I highly recommend it.
Basically, you start with a basic hat and add accessories to fit your style. Hats start at $68 and the fun accessories run anywhere from $5-$78. You can even host parties at The Bar at Flea Style, both for children and adults.
And if you fancy a refreshing drink or glass of wine while working on your one-of-a-kind hat, just ask an employee, and they will bring one right out!
Walkins are welcome at Flea Style’s hat bar. However, there may be a wait, and reservations are always recommended at the Hat Bar.
Most of the accessories at The Bar are unique, ranging from antique treasures to Guniea feathers!
They do allow you to repurpose one of your own beloved hats for a $25 fee + the cost of the accessories. I think this would make such a fun girl’s outing. You can start over in Flea Style, doing a little shopping and hat making, and then move on to Heirloom Haul for lunch!
Shopping at Flea Style
I am pretty sure that everyone can find something to fall in love with while shopping at Flea Style in Frisco, Texas! I personally could have spent hours looking through the old matchboxes and vintage jewelry!
The shopping is probably half accessories/goodies and the other half apparel. Most of the clothing is comfortable weekend wear, along with resort-style casualwear.
In addition to new apparel, they also have a great selection of re-purposed denim and amazing vintage t-shirts.
And there is a perfect Instagram photo opportunity around every corner! From the fun, whimsical wallpaper to the ornate mirrors, tweens and moms alike can bond while snapping photos of one another! There are even a couple of murals and areas set up specifically for this!
If you want more inspiration, just browse the location on Instagram and see what others are up to – including Abby!
Also, they do have a small children’s section at Flea Style Frisco that has some really cute vintage goodies!
It’s located over by the bakery where you can pick up some fresh macaroons coffee while you shop. Abby got their June signature latte – The Rainbow Latte, and it came complete with a sour straw on top!
But don’t fill up too much because you are going to want to sit down for lunch or tea service at Heirloom Haul. So, put your name in for a table, finish browsing the store, and let’s talk about lunch!
Lunch and Tea Service at Heirloom Haul
Featuring a whimsical inside dining room, studio space/party room, and large outdoor patio (with the cutest umbrellas), Heirloom Haul is a great location to celebrate a special event or to celebrate every day.
When we were there, I noticed a few mom-and-daughter groups with little girls in their party dresses and stands of faux pearls. And while you don’t have to be dressed fancy to eat at Heirloom Haul, it’s a fun place to dress up for, and all levels of extravagance are welcome at Heirloom Haul and Flea Style.
The menu at Heirloom Haul is fantastic!
Along with their popular tea service ($20 per child, $35 per adult), they serve a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, and shareables. I had the pick two with the egg salad sandwich and the tomato soup, along with a glass of rose. My sister had the cobb salad, and it looked so good.
And Abby got the tea service. Since it was just her, the platter may look a little sparse, but for $20 she got two sandwiches and four small desserts, so it was a great value.
The adult tea service looked so good, but neither I nor my sister were super hungry so we kept it light with our choices.
You can view the Heirloom Haul menu here. And they do take reservations via OpenTable.
And there is basically an unwritten rule that you can’t leave Heirloom Haul without taking a photo by the vintage camper, which is probably one of the most popular Instagram photo spots in Frisco, Texas. So, we did it! All for the ‘gram.
Seriously though, this place is adorable, and I would recommend a visit to The Star and Heirloom Haul & Flea Style to anyone traveling to the north Dallas suburbs.
