I can’t believe that it is October already! This is our first Fall in Southern California and I haven’t really seen a hint of Fall here in the desert. And I think that is ok for now. We have always been summer people and part of the joy of this chapter is being able to enjoy so much sunshine and warm air. I actually do love Fall though. And I love Spring too. It’s just Winter. I can’t deal.
We have been so busy with home school outings and soccer almost every night that we haven’t had a carefree afternoon in weeks. On Saturday Jake had an early game and Abby had the week off. Matt was visiting Sequoia National Park with one of his lifelong friends. The kids and I spent hours just enjoying our own backyard. This is the first house that we have owned with a pool and I don’t know if we can ever go back to not having one again. It has brought our family so much joy!
