I haven’t sat down to blog much lately. ย Between the amazing weather and the end of the school year hustle the days seem to fly by. ย Every waking moment in between I am studying. ย  I am thriving on that passion burning inside me right now. ย I want to become a better photographer to both document my families story but also build up to a potential career down the road when the kids are in school full time. So, that’s where I have been. ย And here is what I have planned!

Today was SUMMER BREAK DAY ONE. ย I have a post in my head about the end of school and our year in Kindergarten so more about that later. ย Today, we have Summer on the brain. ย With amazing temperatures in the high 70s/low 80s and warm sun we have big plans to make the most out of it! These next two months when the days are the longest are like Heaven to me. ย The days seem endless and that is a good thing because we love to stay busy! ย I want to make sure to document this Summer and I vow to get some photo books put together!

But that all starts tomorrow. ย Today…. we rest. ย We vowed not to leave the house. ย We ate frozen pancakes all day long. ย No one took off their PJs… except to dress up in costumes. ย We didn’t do anything. ย And that was nice to get that out of the way because if you know us then you know that we do not sit still very long.

We started on our bucket list today. ย It is filling up fast and includes trips, snacks, play dates and my heart sang when Abby asked me to add “carnivals… at least one a week”. ย Right on girlfriend. ย Jake wants to do camping. ย Actually, he wants us to drop him off in the woods. LOL. ย He spent hours today with a crayon and paper writing out his camping list. ย I think he’s an over packer just like his mom. ย And then when I wasn’t looking he went and packed it all up. ย So, I had better take this kid camping soon!

Jake is really into writing these days. ย He still struggles with actual letters but has a grand interest in scribbling out stories and lists, copying down words that he sees. ย He is the sweetest little kid. ย Four year old boys are a strange beast. ย When they are sweet there is just nothing better but when they are feisty it is fierce.
