So, it’s been pretty much exactly 6 months since I left the old blog behind for this new one. I wouldn’t change a thing and have loved having a more creative outlet for my family.
That said, I get asked several times a day about deals deals deals with the holidays approaching. I know that you guys still love them. And of course I still love shopping. So, I wanted to chat. Yes, I plan on posting a lot of shopping content as we get closer to the holidays. Yes, many will be deals. Some will be gift ideas. Others will be things I buy and love. But, nothing will be useless impulse buys. There are a zillion blogs out there where you can get a fix of freebies and piles of junk that you don’t need. OurLittleLifeStyle.com is my attempt at moderation. At quality over quantity. About life as well as style. Experiences as well as things. So, yes, there will be plenty of shopping going on over the next few months. But I have one thing to ask of you. As I post some ‘deals’ please be graceful. The thing that brought me down the most with NewDayNewDeals were the comments. After posting something and it selling out the feed would be full of useless or snarky comments such as ‘sold out’ or ‘all gone’ or ‘boo hoo this sucks I missed it’ ‘doesn’t work’ and so on. That above anything else is what make me leave that blog behind. I hated creating, witnessing and catering to that madness. Or people upset that something didn’t fit when I said it ran a particular way. Or heaven forbid an order get cancelled. So, let’s just keep the shopping fun and not just a mad dash to buy.
And while I have you here I would love some feedback on OurLittleLifeStyle.com! I don’t really want to hear constructive criticism or the things that you do not like about the blog but I would LOVE to hear some of the things that you do like about this new project of mine!

More than anything, what I love about your blog is seeing the pictures of your kids along with the funny and witty stories! Seeing the deals is nice, as well, but your blog is about more than just that. Keep up the good work, I’m always reading !!
I love everything about the new blog. I love seeing your family and their styles, your home, your life, and of course, I still love the deals. I love that it isn’t an over abundance of deals, but the ones you think are best. Keep it up! 🙂
I enjoyed the old blog–not sure I would have gotten into boutique shopping without your tips!–but I enjoy the new blog, too. Deals are great, I know I’ve pm’d you a few times since the start of the new blog just to share my excitement about a fabulous deal. I hope that’s ok :). You just moved, you have a new house, and your big girl just started school. That’s a lot of life changes. Please follow your heart and shape this into what you want it to be.
