We went apple picking! I think this was the first time that I have gone to a real orchard in my adult life and we were lucky enough to find the perfect one right here in Edwardsville, IL! I first saw the Liberty Apple Orchard folks at the Land of Goshen Farmer’s Market and grabbed their card. Then when the perfect Sunday rolled around I pulled it out, looked them up and made a plan. And by plan I mean pick out outfits and charge the camera battery.
We rolled up, it was so nice. Not too crowded. Three varieties ready to go with more on the way. We were welcomed by an adorable little school house and we walked out with two big bags of apples for just over $10!
If you are local I recommend that you plan a trip. We are going back often! They are open during the week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00pm. On weekends the hours are: Saturday – 1:00-5:00pm; Sunday – 1:00-4:30pm.
