Ok, so I tackled a big project today! With Abby starting Kindergarten tomorrow (insert tears here), I have been dying to use the space across from my mud room as a family organization / school wall. ย And today, with the help of Target, I nailed it. ย And anchored it. ย And screwed stuff in.
The problem. ย
We have a mud room. ย But between shoes, coats, groceries, car trip bags, etc I didn’t know how much good it would really serve during the school year ย The last thing I need is to have to dig through stuff trying to find a permission slip.
The solution.
We have the perfect wall right there when you come in our mud room. ย It’s straight ahead. ย To the right is the playroom. ย To the left is the guest bathroom. ย So, it’s out of the way for house guests and general visitors but something we see and pass throughout the day.
I have been thinking about the Pottery Barn Daily Systems but for the price I just thought that I could think of something more fun. ย So, today I went to Target and seriously found exactly what I was looking for!
My friend Rachel made us the cutest Home Sweet Home needlepoint and gave it to use in a fab wooden frame. ย Lo and behold. ย The Target stuff matched perfectly and it makes the space so much more special!
I bought:
Mason Jar Plaque $24.99
Chalkboard Decal $12.99
Magnetic Weekly Dry Erase Board $8.49
Shelf with Hooks $22.99
Handmade Needlepoint.
Keys & Stuff holder $12.99
Note that right now they have a promo where you can text home4 to 827-438 and save an extra $15 off $75 in home stuff.
The After.
And here is the before and after! ย Excuse the lame iPhone pictures. ย I can’t find my dang memory card for my camera and keep forgetting to buy a new one.
