Oh friends! The LifeStylers have a big old change on the horizon. I feel like it is bittersweet (remember that I am a sentimental fool) but we are excited to share that we are moving to the Saint Louis area this Summer.
I am super proud of Matt who (starting May 30th) will be the new Chief Operating Officer at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois. We are looking to head toward the Glen Carbon / Edwardsville area and are thrilled to be closer to Matt’s entire family and my mom.
For those who don’t know our backgrounds I was born in northwest Washington State and moved to Highland, Illinois in Middle School. I graduate High School there and then went up to Illinois State University in Bloomington, Illinois and stuck around after college. I met Matt. We got married. Moved an hour south to Springfield, Illinois, had two babies and then almost 3 years ago moved here to Overland Park, Kansas.
Matt was born and raised in South Saint Louis. He even did his undergrad, masters and law degree right there at St. Louis University. His parents still live in his childhood home with one of his sisters (and 4 cousins) just a few doors down. His other sister is getting ready to move there shortly too! So, they are looking forward to being a hop, skip and a hump across the Mississippi away from us. My mom is still there in Highland, Illinois too and will only be 10 minutes away!
So, as much as we are really going to miss our amazing friends here we are excited to be close to family for this next stage in our lives. Abby is beyond the moon excited and won’t stop talking about sleepovers with her cousin Caroline. I am really sad to leave and we have been so lucky to live in such a fabulous community for the past 3 years. Seriously you guys. Overland Park and Leawood, Kansas are spectacular.

Hi! I left a comment that I’ve followed since I have boy girl twins and coordinating and cute are key here even if my tots are young. Long gone are my writing days. I saw you were moving to the area but wasn’t sure how close. LOL. We currently live in Fairview Heights but building next year in Edwardsville (off of Governors). I went to SLU for undergrad as well and my husband is from Highland too :). Shoot the babies’ godmother’ dad is even the fire chief in Granite. I dreaded moving back to StL summers but it is great to be close to family. Maybe we will cross paths! :). Happy moving!
