So, our hearts are a little heavy today. ย Over the past 2 and a half years we have been so lucky to have my sister Lindsay living right here in Kansas City with us. ย But, today she starts a new chapter in her life and is en route to Dallas, Texas to start a brand new job in a fun new city. ย She’s young and this is such a great opportunity.

We couldn’t be more thrilled for her and think that she is so fortunate to get to explore a new part of the Country! ย So, we truly wish her so much luck. ย But we have to cry some selfish tears today too. ย We are sure going to miss her! ย Abby and I are sentimental fools. ย We cry for what a good time we had. ย We cry for the change. ย (we don’t like change). ย We cry for the fun times. ย I am so happy that the kids got to spend few years so close to their Aunt. ย We have a ton of great memories!ย It’s ย just so bitter sweet.

It’s funny. ย She moved here from Chicago exactly 3 years ago for a boy. ย Then out of the blue ย (while Matt was interviewing for a job in Dallas) the company said ‘We would like to send you to Kansas City instead’. ย He said yes without even asking me. ย He knew that I would be thrilled. ย So, a few months later we came to town right behind her. ย It’s funny how God works out his plan for you and your family. ย  That boy is long gone. ย She was my first friend here. ย We had a little slumber party last night and waved her goodbye just minutes ago.

So, cheers to the road ahead of her and we smile for the time that we got to be so close.
