New day. No deals.
So, this morning I did something that I haven’t really done in years. I enjoyed my coffee and my breakfast across from the computer. It was almost awkward at the table with everyone fresh and rested and present in mind and body.
It was even more evident how the stress of needing to check all of those emails right away (as soon as I rose each morning) was just starting our day off wrong. The funny thing is that it would normally be a crazy full on hour for us to all eat every morning as I was only 50% there in mind while the other was there on my emails. But today, it took 20 minutes. And it was 20 great minutes. Knowing that Hanna Andersson was at Zulily and hearing the app on my phone chime at 8am was there in my mind but I made a decision right then and there just not to care. Everyone ate, picked up and then they went to watch a show and I sat down for 20 minutes at the computer. Funny thing is that I then bought a Hanna top and pair of shorts for Jake. It was still there. Not sold out. And on sale. And I feel good about it because it was in the right time and place.
I guess this is how the normal people live but to me I feel like I have finally seen the light.
And I still have 950 emails. But I don’t really care. I’m going to the gym.
