So, Jake turned four yesterday and for a couple weeks leading up to his birthday I would shutter a little thinking about buying more toys that we don’t need. But, I ended up picking some winners and Jake was seriously thrilled with them. (And Abby too!) So, I figured that since many of you have kids the same age I would share with you what I bought him! (Some good Easter basket ideas too).
First, he is freaking obsessed with ninjas. So, this ninja costume is a no brainer. Except that now he won’t take it off. At all. Then for his big gift I got an Edushape Marble Run. I knew that it would keep him and Abby busy for a long time. They played with it for hours yesterday. Huge set too! And Jake has been begging me for a big huge hot wheels loop de loop thing. I can’t bring myself to get something big and complex yet because I know that he will have break it over and over again and I will have to keep putting it back together. So, I grabbed this $12 Hot Wheels City Loop & Launch Trackset and a bunch of bonus track for him to play with. It is actually perfect for him and Abby helped him run the long tracks over obstacles to see how far they could shoot it and have it go. And my favorite gift for him… a Gunner and Lux Chief necklace. Because it’s fabulous.
Oh and my dad stole the show by sending him a Bruder Bulldozer and this Zip gun set. The disks are only slightly less difficult to lose than a nerf gun but it came with two which means no fighting over it! #winning.
And that was it. Other than a baseball glove, TMNT watch and some Imaginext men mystery packs that he picked out when I took him shopping with some birthday money! Little boys are pretty awesome!
